Cyrolo Anonymizer is an AI-powered document anonymization service that automatically detects and redacts personally identifiable information (PII) and sensitive data from documents. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of the Cyrolo Anonymizer platform (the "Platform" or "Service"). By using Cyrolo Anonymizer services, you confirm that you have read these Terms and agree to comply with them. If you do not agree with any of these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

1. Terms and Definitions

  • Platform (Cyrolo Anonymizer) – A document anonymization system created by MB "Juridinis Komfortas", accessible at Cyrolo.eu, which uses artificial intelligence solutions to automatically detect and redact personally identifiable information (PII) and sensitive data from documents. The Platform processes PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD, and image files to help Users comply with privacy regulations including GDPR. Cyrolo Anonymizer is a software tool; it is not a substitute for professional legal or privacy consultation.

  • Detection Tags – User-configurable categories of personal information types (e.g., names, emails, phone numbers, addresses) that the AI will attempt to identify and redact from uploaded documents.

2. Service Description

2.1. Functionality

Cyrolo Anonymizer allows Users to upload documents (PDF, DOCX, TXT, MD, and images) to automatically detect and redact personally identifiable information (PII) and sensitive data. The AI system analyzes the document, identifies data types based on User-selected detection tags, and produces anonymized text output. Users can select from 30+ pre-configured detection categories or create custom tag configurations.

The Platform provides instant processing with results available for copying or downloading within seconds. Users can customize which types of personal information to detect and redact through an intuitive tag selection interface.

2.2. File Support and Limits

The Platform supports the following file formats:

  • Plain text files (TXT, MD) - up to 2 MB
  • Document files (PDF, DOCX) - up to 10 MB
  • Image files (JPG, PNG) - up to 10 MB (processed via OCR)

Files exceeding these limits or in unsupported formats will be rejected by the Platform.

2.3. Service Availability

Cyrolo Anonymizer is accessible at Cyrolo.eu. The Service Provider offers different usage tiers including a free quota-based tier, pay-as-you-go credit packages, and monthly subscription plans. The Service Provider reserves the right to set service plans, pricing, and access levels for individual functions.

Current pricing and plans are available at https://cyrolo.eu/pricing. Pricing may be updated periodically with notice to Users.

2.4. Technical Requirements

The Platform operates in a web browser; it is recommended to use updated browser versions and a stable internet connection. The Service Provider does not guarantee that the Platform will work with all devices or browsers but makes efforts to ensure wide compatibility.

Cookies: The Platform may use necessary technical cookies to ensure its functionality (e.g., to maintain login sessions, manage request flow, etc.). By accessing the Platform, you consent to the use of cookies. If you do not agree, you can disable cookies in your browser, but certain Platform functions may not work properly.

3. User Account and Usage Rules

3.1. Registration

To use all Cyrolo features, a User may need to register and create a personal account. During registration, the User must provide a valid email address and other requested information. The User confirms that they are at least 18 years old (or have legal capacity to enter into binding agreements) and have the right to enter into this legal service agreement.

If a User registers an account on behalf of a legal entity, they confirm having authorization to represent that legal entity and agree to these Terms on its behalf.

3.2. Login Data Security

The User undertakes to maintain the confidentiality of their login credentials (username, password, or third-party account access). The User is responsible for all actions performed using their account. It is recommended to use complex passwords and change them periodically.

The Service Provider never asks for the User's password by email or phone – be vigilant about phishing attempts.

3.3. User Actions on the Platform

By using the Platform, you agree to:

  • manually review all anonymized output before using it for any purpose, especially for sensitive, legal, or regulatory documents;
  • select appropriate detection tags that cover all types of personal information present in your documents;
  • verify that custom fields and proprietary data formats are properly anonymized, as the AI may not detect non-standard formats;
  • understand and accept that the AI does not guarantee 100% detection of all personal information;
  • take full responsibility for ensuring GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy regulation compliance when using anonymized documents;
  • not use Cyrolo Anonymizer for illegal purposes or activities that violate applicable laws;
  • not use automated tools to mass-process documents without proper verification of each output;
  • not use any tools or programs to disrupt the Platform's operation or abuse the service.

4. Intellectual Property Rights

4.1. Platform Content

All information and content on the Platform (including but not limited to software code, design, trademarks, logos, database, generated responses, articles, or other textual/visual materials) is protected by intellectual property laws. Except where expressly stated otherwise, copyright and/or database rights belong to the Service Provider MB "Juridinis Komfortas" or are lawfully licensed to the Service Provider.

4.2. Permitted Use and Output Ownership

Users retain full ownership of both their original documents and the anonymized output produced by the Platform. The Service Provider claims no rights to User content or anonymized results.

Users may use anonymized output for any lawful purpose, including commercial use, provided they have:

  • Manually verified the output for completeness and accuracy
  • Ensured all personal information has been properly redacted
  • Taken responsibility for compliance with applicable privacy regulations

Important: The anonymized output is a tool to assist with document redaction, but YOU are ultimately responsible for verifying its adequacy for your specific use case and compliance requirements.

5. AI Accuracy and User Responsibility

5.1. AI-Powered Service - No Guarantee of Complete Anonymization

⚠️ IMPORTANT: User Verification Required

Cyrolo Anonymizer uses artificial intelligence to detect and redact personal information from documents. While our AI achieves approximately 95% detection accuracy for common PII types, we do NOT guarantee that all personal information will be detected and anonymized.

The effectiveness of anonymization depends on:

  • The detection tags YOU select (the AI only searches for selected categories)
  • Document quality, format, and structure
  • Whether personal data appears in standard or non-standard formats
  • Custom fields, proprietary formats, or unusual data patterns
  • OCR accuracy for image-based documents

USER RESPONSIBILITY: You MUST manually review the anonymized output before using it. The Service Provider is NOT responsible for any personal information that remains in the output due to detection limitations, custom fields, or user-configured tag selections.

5.2. Custom Detection Tags and User Configuration

Users have full control over which types of personal information to detect through the detection tag interface. The AI system will ONLY attempt to detect and redact the categories YOU select. If you do not select a particular detection tag (e.g., "phone_number" or "email"), that type of information will NOT be redacted.

Users can create custom detection tags for specialized fields. However, the AI's ability to accurately detect custom or proprietary data formats is limited and not guaranteed. Always verify that custom tags are working as expected before relying on the output.

⚠️ CRITICAL: For sensitive or legally binding documents, it is YOUR responsibility to manually inspect the anonymized output and verify that ALL personal information has been properly redacted before distribution or publication.

5.3. No Warranties - Service Provided "As Is"

The Platform is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

  • Warranties of complete or perfect anonymization
  • Warranties of detection accuracy for all data types
  • Warranties of fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties of merchantability
  • Warranties of non-infringement

The Service Provider makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate anonymization but cannot guarantee that the AI will detect every instance of personal information, especially in edge cases, custom formats, or when detection tags are not appropriately configured by the User.

5.4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service Provider shall NOT be liable for any damages arising from:

  • Personal information that was not detected or redacted by the AI system
  • User's failure to select appropriate detection tags
  • User's failure to manually verify anonymized output before use
  • Distribution of incompletely anonymized documents
  • Privacy violations resulting from undetected personal data
  • GDPR, CCPA, or other regulatory non-compliance due to incomplete anonymization
  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages

In any event, the Service Provider's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by the User for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is less.

5.5. User's Indemnification

The User agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Service Provider from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from the User's use or misuse of the anonymized output, including but not limited to claims related to insufficient anonymization, privacy violations, or regulatory non-compliance.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

6.1. Personal Data Processing

User personal data provided during registration or use of the Platform is processed in accordance with applicable personal data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679. MB "Juridinis Komfortas" acts as a data controller in cases where the User provides personal data on the Platform.

6.2. Confidentiality

The Service Provider understands the sensitivity of information provided by Users, especially when questions relate to personal or business legal issues. MB "Juridinis Komfortas" undertakes not to use User-provided individual query information for purposes other than response generation and service improvement.

7. Changes to Terms and Termination

7.1. Changes to Terms

The Service Provider reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes to the Terms by a notice posted on the Cyrolo website and/or by email (if the User is registered and has provided contact email).

7.2. Termination

The User has the right to terminate these Terms at any time by ceasing to use the Platform and (if created) deleting their account. The Service Provider may terminate these Terms (and the User's access to the Platform) unilaterally if the User materially violates the Terms.

8. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms of Service and any relationships arising from or related to them are governed by the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. All disagreements or disputes shall be resolved through negotiations. If the dispute cannot be resolved amicably within a reasonable time, the dispute shall be finally resolved in Lithuanian courts according to the Service Provider's place of business (currently – Vilnius city jurisdiction).
